Goodies for March!

Hi Everyone!

Couple of quick announcements:

1) There is a new menu posted for March in the Notes section of our Facebook page. I added two new flavors in the spirit of St. Patty's Day. The same flavors will be made everyday, for the month of March. I'll also be posting two more special St. Patty's Day cupcakes that will be available on March 16th and 17th only. Look for those flavors shortly!

2) The Cupcake Crusader is now a duo! My Mom will be joining me at the shop full time starting in April, which means...

3) The truck will be back out and about starting April!! Look for our scheduled route to be posted soon, and feel free to suggest a stop you think might do well. We have only two requirements: parking and customers!

4) I wanted to get the word out about Cupcake Decorating parties for your little ones ages 8 and up. Here's the skinny: $150 for six kids to decorate six cupcakes a piece. All the frosting, sprinkles, and decorations you can imagine. Light refreshments included, and a souvenir apron for the birthday boy/girl signed by all the guests.

5) Lastly, starting in April, the Cupcake Crusader will also be scheduling traditional tea parties for special occasions. Think about bridal showers, baby showers, Mother's Day, etc! Call or e-mail for more info.

PASTEES

If you haven't already stopped in for some pastees, make sure you come in and try them! We have four kinds to try now!

Since the new menu for 2012 was leaked online ;) I'm releasing the full details of the cupcake menu for 2012. I did away with the "odd dates/even dates" for cupcake flavors. Even though it made my life less boring, it was too complicated for ordering. So, I got rid of some of the flavors that weren't selling and I added a few that are sure to sell. Everyday we will be offering the same cupcakes as listed below:

October 24th - October 30th

All I can say is what a great first week we had at our new shop at 752 East Avenue! I'm exhausted which means we are doing something right!!

If you haven't checked out the new store yet, now is a good time! There is a half off coupon for one dozen cupcakes, in the Chico ER Got Daily Deals you can find it here, there are only 100 available, so hurry!

I thought I was going to be able to make it out in the truck this week, and I'm just not sure that is going to happen yet, but I will give it my best effort and keep you posted. Eventually, the truck schedule will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

This week along with the cupcakes, we will also be continuing our breakfast treats (cinnamon rolls, breakfast sausage rolls, and quiche) and we will be adding a breakfast egg sandwich with eggs, bacon, caramelized onions, and arugula on toasted soft white bread. And for lunch we will have homemade tomato soup and a chicken salad sandwich.

All I can say is thank you to everyone who comes in with a smile and supports our small operation, this is a dream come true for me and my family. We do our best to provide the highest quality of sweets and savouries in a comfortable atmosphere and we appreciate every second you spend in our store! Thank you!!

September 5 - September 11

Exciting news to report! The Cupcake Crusader will have a storefront soon! In early October my Mom and I will be taking over Urban Spoon Cafe on East Ave. and Pillsbury. Do you know what this means?! More flavor options and longer hours! And my Mom will be bringing her years of B&B experience to suit all your savory, coffee, and tea cravings! Stay tuned...

SPECIAL NOTE: I will not be out in my truck next week, I've been hired for a private event.

As for this week, the special will be a CHOCOLATE MALTED CUPCAKE. Here is this week's schedule:

Monday: Closed - Happy Labor Day!
Tuesday: Downtown City Plaza (hopefully on 5th Street) - Red Velvet, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Cookies & Cream (gotta use up all my leftover Oreos!), Chocolate, and Chocolate Malt
Wednesday: Near the airport on Convair which crosses with Marauder - Vanilla, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Coconut Lime, and Chocolate Malt
Thursday: Thursday Night Market - Chocolate, Vanilla, Chocolate Malt, Chocolate Chip, and Mexican Hot Chocolate
Friday: 6th and Esplanade near Enloe - Chocolate Malt, Funfetti, Coconut Lime, and Chocolate Peanut Butter.
Saturday: Deliveries only
Sunday: Closed

Final Note: I had such a great week last week, the highlight was meeting two adorable little fans who dressed up in their finest blanket capes to come see the Cupcake Crusader! So cute! Thank you to everyone for being the best customers ever, see you soon :)

August 29 - September 3

I can't believe how fast August flew by! Which is awesome because the heat is killing me and my poor melty cupcakes.  This week's special is a throw back to an earlier special that I keep getting requests for, so I'm bringing back COOKIES & CREAM!

I'm closed Monday because I need to take care of some business, I'm SO important, ha! ;)
Also, no deliveries on Saturday because I'm going to Napa, oh la la!

August 24 - August 27

Sorry I lagged on the blog this week! Sunday got away from me and next thing I new it was Tuesday night.  Tuesday went well at the new spot and it will be even better when it's not 90 degrees outside without shade.  I never used to hate summer until I had to drive around in a tin box all day ;)

Okay, here's the rest of the week:

Wednesday: 2:00 at Convair (nearest cross street is Marauder at the airport) - Red Velvet, Kahlua, Funfetti, and Coconut/Lime
Thursday: 6:00 - 9:00 at Thursday Night Market - Chocolate, Vanilla, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Champagne, and Kahlua
Friday: 1:00 - 2:00 at 6th and Esplanade - Key Lime Pie, Champagne, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Kahlua (I'm only there for one hour because I have to be somewhere at 3:00)

August 16 - August 20

This week the special is going to be a Boston Cream Pie cupcake!

Couple notes: First, I'll be at the Chico Legends Music Festival Friday and Saturday so no truck out by 6th and Esplanade on Friday. Come check out the show! Here's the link: Chico Legends Music Festival Can't wait to check out Nicki Bluhm! Second, this will probably be my last week out at Memorial and Esplanade on Tuesday. I'll be looking for a new spot so I (and you!) don't have to fight for parking once Chico State is back in school. Thinking about the downtown plaza but I'll let you all know when I figure it out.
