Since the new menu for 2012 was leaked online ;) I'm releasing the full details of the cupcake menu for 2012. I did away with the "odd dates/even dates" for cupcake flavors. Even though it made my life less boring, it was too complicated for ordering. So, I got rid of some of the flavors that weren't selling and I added a few that are sure to sell. Everyday we will be offering the same cupcakes as listed below:

October 24th - October 30th

All I can say is what a great first week we had at our new shop at 752 East Avenue! I'm exhausted which means we are doing something right!!

If you haven't checked out the new store yet, now is a good time! There is a half off coupon for one dozen cupcakes, in the Chico ER Got Daily Deals you can find it here, there are only 100 available, so hurry!

I thought I was going to be able to make it out in the truck this week, and I'm just not sure that is going to happen yet, but I will give it my best effort and keep you posted. Eventually, the truck schedule will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

This week along with the cupcakes, we will also be continuing our breakfast treats (cinnamon rolls, breakfast sausage rolls, and quiche) and we will be adding a breakfast egg sandwich with eggs, bacon, caramelized onions, and arugula on toasted soft white bread. And for lunch we will have homemade tomato soup and a chicken salad sandwich.

All I can say is thank you to everyone who comes in with a smile and supports our small operation, this is a dream come true for me and my family. We do our best to provide the highest quality of sweets and savouries in a comfortable atmosphere and we appreciate every second you spend in our store! Thank you!!

September 5 - September 11

Exciting news to report! The Cupcake Crusader will have a storefront soon! In early October my Mom and I will be taking over Urban Spoon Cafe on East Ave. and Pillsbury. Do you know what this means?! More flavor options and longer hours! And my Mom will be bringing her years of B&B experience to suit all your savory, coffee, and tea cravings! Stay tuned...

SPECIAL NOTE: I will not be out in my truck next week, I've been hired for a private event.

I can't believe how fast August flew by! Which is awesome because the heat is killing me and my poor melty cupcakes.  This week's special is a throw back to an earlier special that I keep getting requests for, so I'm bringing back COOKIES & CREAM!

I'm closed Monday because I need to take care of some business, I'm SO important, ha! ;)

August 24 - August 27

Sorry I lagged on the blog this week! Sunday got away from me and next thing I new it was Tuesday night.  Tuesday went well at the new spot and it will be even better when it's not 90 degrees outside without shade.  I never used to hate summer until I had to drive around in a tin box all day ;)

Okay, here's the rest of the week:

Couple notes: First, I'll be at the Chico Legends Music Festival Friday and Saturday so no truck out by 6th and Esplanade on Friday. Come check out the show! I'll be looking for a new spot so I (and you!) don't have to fight for parking once Chico State is back in school. Thinking about the downtown plaza but I'll let you all know when I figure it out.

First things first, another short week this week, I'll be closed Monday and then out of town with my sister and brother-in-law at a music festival in SF on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Can't wait! We'll just call this my last week of summer vacation ;)

This week's special is going to be: Banana Split! Lots of people asked for banana so I've come up with a good combination. Banana cake, topped with chocolate ganache and Italian meringue icing.

August 1 - August 7

It's August (almost!) This is exciting because I'll be renewing my business license this month, which means I've almost been in business for one year! Yep, it has almost been one year since I walked out of my cushy job, hyperventilated on the way to my car, balled like a baby, got myself together, and grinned ear to ear, all in the span of 5 minutes. Whew! Glad that day is over!

I went back to all those helpful suggestions for recipes and many people suggested a salted caramel so that will be the special this week. I'll be back out on Tuesday, August 2nd, at Memorial and Esplanade.  Here is the flavor schedule this week:

Tuesday: Dark chocolate salted caramel, chocolate chip, coconut/lime, key lime pie, chocolate peanut butter, and vanilla.
Wednesday: Dark chocolate salted caramel, champagne, red velvet, Mexican hot chocolate, and funfetti
Thursday: Dark chocolate salted caramel, vanilla, chocolate, chai, and chocolate peanut butter
Friday: Dark chocolate salted caramel, chocolate mint, funfetti, coconut/lime, and chocolate peanut butter

*Also, I've decided to suspend my delivery service during the week. I'll only be doing deliveries on Saturdays. Someday I would love to be able to offer deliveries during the week again but I really want to concentrate on the core of my business which is, the truck.  I was having trouble finding the time to do both. All I ask is if you know you will be buying 2 or more dozen, please try and call me the day before so that I can make enough for everyone and I will do my best to have the weekly menu up well in advance so you know what you'll be able to order.

If you have already scheduled a delivery then of course I will fulfill your order. Also, if you book me for large events, delivery is included.

July 18th - July 24th

Back from my mini vacation and guess what? I'm getting ready for another mini vacation this weekend. Going camping in Oregon soooo, you guessed it...I will not be out on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or the following Monday. I can  make deliveries Friday morning before I leave town so if you want cupcakes make sure you call me soon!

Unfortunately there was a lot of confusion and frustration about my schedule this week which I am terribly sorry for.  In order to minimize this confusion in the future I am eliminating my schedule times on my website and Facebook. Seems like backward logic right? But I really want to urge people to read this blog and check Facebook or Twitter for the daily times.  Both my blog, Facebook, and Twitter are all public pages so you don't have to be a subscriber to view it, just bookmark it, it's great! Being a mobile business and the only employee, things like weather and the wonderful unpredictability of life's nuances occasionally keep me from adhering to my schedule, much to my regret. I apologize to everyone for the confusing week!

In order to celebrate my upcoming camping trip, and because I've had more than a million requests for this lately ;) I'll be bringing back the 'Smores cupcake as the special this week!

Weekly Special: I asked you all for your recipe suggestions and the one that stood out most for me and my taste buds was the waffle cupcake! I am such a bread/pastry fiend that my mouth started watering at the thought of having a waffle infused cupcake! So, I'll be making a vanilla cake baked with bits of waffle and a maple Italian meringue buttercream.

Hello! 

I started a blog so that I can post the week's flavors and schedule ahead of time for anyone that likes to plan ahead (me!).  And maybe I'll throw in a few musings, recipes, and thank yous here and there!

Okay, this week's weekly special is an Almond Joy variety. Chocolate cake with almond butter cream, topped with coconut and a chunk of an Almond Joy candy bar.

Also, the Cupcake Crusader has a new "Sidekick," the Whoopie Pie! Whoopie Pies are like a flat cupcake sandwich.  Perfect for needing a cupcake treat on the GO! I'll be debuting two flavors this week: the traditional whoopie pie which is chocolate cakes with whipped cream filling and whoopie pumpkin pie which is pumpkin pie cakes with whipped cream filling.
